Jagger, the missing English bulldog that was allegedly kidnapped, has been found dead.Jagger's owner, Jennifer Thomas, from Woodland, Washington told the KATU in Portland, Oregon that someone had kidnapped Jagger, because she was receiving text messages saying they would torture Jagger if she did not pay the ransom of $1,000 and prescription pain killers. Jennifer is in a wheelchair. The text messages also included a picture of Jagger tied with a chain.
Monday morning, Jagger was found along side the railroad tracks in the 2400 block of Talley Way in Kelso. Authorities estimate he had been dead 24-36 hours.
"We've put many hours into this case, and I hate that the dog was killed, whether by a train, or any other means. We'll follow any leads we get to find who took Jagger," said Sheriff Mark Nelson.
A veterinarian will examine Jagger to see if he was tortured and the cause of death.
Kudos to Sheriff Nelson for following up on this tragic case.
My thoughts are that whoever had Jagger, became scared when the media got to the story, and let Jagger loose and he lost his life trying to find his way back to Jennifer.
