Troopers told Randy Archer that Rex died after getting hit by a semi-truck at 1 a.m. on Sept. 14 on U.S. 23 near Spencer Road.
Randy Archer's service dog, Rex has been missing since September.
Rex has been Randy's friend since Randy lost his leg in a motorcycle accident.
Randy and Rex went to visit relatives in Brighton Township and Rex was last seen September 13 behind a residence on Bradford Court, west of Pleasant Valley Road and north of I-96. Randy thinks, Rex may have seen a deer and ran off.
