Although no one has come forward to claim Archie, he is doing just fine with his new friends at the Auburn Veterinary Hospital.Archie was picked up by Auburn animal control in June with an arrow in his left front leg. Sadly, poor Archie had only one front leg, the other one was gone.
Usually, when a cat is found in this type of condition, they are euthanized, but Archie had a special personality, and a donor came forward to pay to have Archie fixed up.
The veterinarian put pins and plates into Archie's front leg and then splinted it. He is healing quite nicely now.
All through Archie's ordeal, no one came forward to claim him, but he doesn't seem to mind, as he has happily taken up residence at the Auburn Veterinary Hospital.
