Sammie: Found after missing a year

Sammie, 3, is back home with her owner, Karen Hansen, 54 of Bay Ridge, Brooklyn. 

Sammie went missing after walking out the front door of Karen's home on October 9, 2010.  Karen said it was heart wrenching.

Karen covered the neighborhood with flyers in different languages and put notices in the newspaper and Sammie's photo on the internet and Facebook. 

It finally panned out when Karen received a call from Terri Vanzo.  She said she had been feeding stray cats in Borough Park.  She thought that a particular black and white cat, may be Karen's cat, after she saw Sammie's picture online.

She was right, because when she got there, she recognized Sammie.
